To all that have made comments above, if you feel like chatting and comparing stories about this condition, please contact Sue on sesp1@hotmail.com. My son has only recently been diagnosed with this but I think he has had it for a few years, I also think it is a hereditary condition and not a drinking problem that has been intimated by doctors. It would be a great idea to start a Facebook page so we could all support each other and compare stories.

Hope Mark is continuing to do well and feel well. All the best to all of you, it's not a very nice condition to live with.

Good Evening.

I would be really interested to talk with Mark and his family. I too suffered from Pancreatitis and had my Gallbladder out with serious complications. I have continued to have problems with pain and trouble eating etc until I made my specialist do a CT scan. On Friday 1st of June I've been told I have chronic pancreatitis. This has all but ruined my life. It would be great to chat and compare stories if that is something that would be of interest. Please feel free to contact me. I do hope your feeling better soon.

Kindest regards.

Monique

Just a random question ...... has Mark ever taken Roaccutane for acne conditions? I did and this is what caused my pancreatitis. Doctors argued with me for years over it and openly told me I clearly had a 'drinking problem' when I was first admitted to hospital. Poor Mark he will have been living with severe pain. Wishing this family all the best

Hi Mary, I'm wondering why the op couldn't be done via Public Health system? My cousin had a major operation for this done via North Shore Hospital. My son, aged 26, also has this horrible condition, only recently discovered. He went to the local A & E, first he was told it was constipation, went to another one, paid another $100 and was told it was food poisoning My heart goes out to Mark, I have seen first hand how painful it is. If Mark's Mum or Dad would like to compare notes and just have someone to chat with, my email is sesp1@hotmail.com. I'm sure they are feeling how I am, fearful for our child's future. Bye for now and good luck with the fund raising. I sincerely hope the operation gives Mark a normal quality of life.

Mary

Will pass this on to his mum and dad. ❤️

Hi Mary,

Sorry to this - another horrific story thanks to Waikato Hospital. I am hoping you can pass on my email address to Marks Mum or Dad - for the past coming up 9 months we are living their exact story with our 10 year old son, who has not improved and I would just like to talk to them - only if they wouldn't mind. Thanks so much! Karen - karen@blacklabelnz.co.nz

Cancel that Mary, I've just read it again and I was mislead as there was not comma in the first entry. Sorry

Mary

Hi Gail, so glad you were able to see that it was just a missing comma. Thank you for your interest.

Hi Mary, so sorry for the horrendous time Mark has endured, I hope this final op is successful. Just wondered if you could clarify something for me. In the first page you state that the new op will cost $400000 and further in $40,000 is mentioned, can you let me know. Many thanks and all the very best to Mark

Gail.

Hi Gail, so glad you were able to see that it was just a missing comma. Thank you for your interest.
