Otago
My wife Marlene had menigitis at 6 weeks old and it affected her right side and she is now 62 and she fort hard to stay walking and she did acheive that well with help of sticks and walking frames, and then
In 2015 Marlene had a TIA (mini stroke ) which affected her walking again, and now she is unable to stand and walk on her right leg due to her ankle twisting and curling under badly and she in so much pain with it
and now shes going to have a tripple ankle fusion to strighten her ankle permanently so it wont twist again and hopefully this will help her to help her to be able to stand and mybe walk again. This is being done through the public health system,
plus Marlene has been dianosed to have a condition called Brown Sequard syndrome
which is a rare neurological condition of the spine (Paralizing of the waist down )
Marlene will need on going treatment, aid equipment and surport to help to get her though this tryng times that she is to face before and after her operation to get her to be herself again
Marlene is my wife and has been for 34 years and would like to see if she can get back to her walking again as she is a very determent person to get back to what she loves doing best and that being inderpendent and no to be relying on anyone to help her .
Aid equipment (wheelchair etc ) ramps
and saftey things that will help Marlene around her home
