Martin had successful lung surgery last night! Now we are focused on treating his severe sepsis infection. One day at a time for our strong man
My sweet man is now ready for surgery. They had postponed Martin's surgery a day. Usually surgeries arent done on the weekends but Martin's case is an exception as they need to get it done. Martin has lost 10 kilos in a week due to the serverity of his
lung infection & also has infection in the blood stream which he is being treated for as of yesterday. He is really going through it guys. We are all praying and hoping he feels better after his surgery because he has been through so much and deserves to get better asap
Praying for Martins healing and you to be strong💕
Martin has been transported to Auckland hospital via ambulance this afternoon. Sadly, the lung drainage was not of much use as his lungs are filled with thick pus and blood that is unable to drain out of the tube coming out his side. Again this has happened due to his severe rib and lung injuries from the crash and his lungs not being able to expand as they should. Martin will be having surgery on his lungs to clean them out, and we hope that this will put an end to some of his suffering. Auckland hospital specializes in this area of surgery hence the move. Please pray hard for our strong man
Unfortunately a couple days after being discharged, Martin had fallen serverely ill. His lung infection has gotten very bad due to his servere rib and lung injuries. Upon arrival back to hospital, martin had a lung drainage procedure done. It was absolutely excrutiating for him, and gut wrenching to hear him yelling in pain as the procedure was under way. We are unable to say how long he will be in hospital, but as always all we can do is stay positive and supportive, and hope for the best.
Kia kaha cuz. Haven't got many words but know that my heart goes out to you all. Always hoping for the best outcome xox
Martin was very eager to get home, he asked the doctors everyday since the new week started if he could, and he has finally been able to. He will now be at home over the next few weeks to continue his healing journey ❤
A night of high fevers and bad shakes as infection sets into his lungs, IV line inserts and grazes from the crash.
Awake for 5 mins then knocked out again. Didn't know who was who or what was going on around him. His memory has improved, as well as his lungs. All other injuries will take a long time to heal
Moving Martin into a ward after stablizing him in the resuscitation room
