Doing what we can to help decrease the stray/feral cat population in NZ, one kitten at a time. We appreciate any help we can get with this.

Manawatu / Whanganui

Hi and welcome!!

Our names are Bridie and Rebecca and we need your help!

We are committed to helping to decrease the feral cat population in New Zealand. We have had success in catching, taming and rehoming feral kittens in Marton and the wider Manawatu area. The reaction to what we're doing has been amazing so far from the local community and we have been made aware of many more kittens in need.

We're now raising money to continue and expand our 'organisation'. Although we are just a small operation, by removing even a small number of cats from the feral cat population we can have a big impact in decreasing overall numbers.

Unfortunately many animal charities/foundations are less interested in cats that are stray/feral as they take a little bit more work and aren't adoptable straight away. But thats where we can help. At the moment, our main focus is kittens, but once lock down is lifted we plan on tackling the feral cat problem with TNR (trap, neuter, release) programs. This makes desexing our biggest cost.

We appreciate any help we can get, both financial and not, and we are really grateful for supplies donations also. Please don't hesitate to get in contact with questions or ideas :)

Thank you so much!
