Hi Everyone, The half marathon was on Sunday and I've recovered enough to let you know how it went.? I managed the 21.1km (13 miles) in 2 hours and 6 minutes which I'm pretty pleased with (to be honest I'm just pleased to have finished!).? Matt was there to cheer me on at the start and finish.? It was a really great run and I'm pleased I did it. I'm even more pleased at how much we've all raised for Australian Doctors International.? Together we have raised a total of $2,000 NZD both on and off line.? Thank you all soooooo much for donating it really means a lot to myself, my family and the ADI. Thanks again for all of your support!! xx Rach

Recently my brother, Matt Scheurich, was involved in a violent incident in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea that left him needing urgent medical attention. Matt was flown by MAF (Missionary Aviation Fellowship) from a remote jungle village to Kiunga Hospital. The doctors who saved Matt's life were assisted by volunteers from the ADI (Australian Doctors International), a not-for-profit NGO that deploys medical assistance to remote areas of PNG. My brother was lucky enough to survive his ordeal and be transported to Australia for further care, and I'm thankful to the doctors and volunteers of Kiunga Hospital and ADI for all their help in ensuring his stable condition. I am going to run my first half marathon and would like to fundraise to give back to the ADI and Kiunga Hospital for what they graciously gave to my brother. All the sponsorship money will be donated to ADI. If you would like to read more about the ADI, what they do and even perhaps volunteer your time, href=""http://www.adi.org.au"">www.adi.org.au Please give generously. Our family is extremely grateful to this organisation and Kiunga Hospital and without their help it's certain my brother may not have survived.
