The excellent news, however, is that, due to the family's circumstances, the initial debt—originally around $40,000.00—has been reduced to $14,000.00! 🙏🏼🙌🏼🥹 We believe this reduction is attributed to Erica's year-long medical treatment at Timaru Hospital. We want to express our gratitude to Timaru and Christchurch hospitals for their immense support and kindness! 🥰❤️ Unfortunately, the insurance is refusing to pay their part of the debt, citing this heart attack as a pre-existing illness. They may be able to secure the insurance money upon returning to Brazil and taking the case to court.

A young Brazilian man named Paulo had a seizure while driving and was diagnosed with a grade 3 to 4 brain tumor at the Hospital. He was transferred from Auckland to Christchurch Hospital, where he remains for ongoing treatment and greatly needs our financial support. Let's continue this chain of love! 🙏🏼❤️

The great news is that everything went well with Felipe's father's surgery, and Erica has already undergone the first session of chemotherapy. Both are doing well, considering the circumstances, recovering at home in Timaru. The overwhelming sense of gratitude would be even greater if there weren't still a significant debt to be paid! This debt is a great concern for this genuinely honest family, and they will only find peace in their hearts when it's settled.
