My husband (32yo AFAB) has not been unable to work since birthing our kid (8yo) due to ongoing health concerns. He has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Hypermobile Ahlers Danlos syndromes other health conditions comorbid conditions: POTS, MCAS and Endometriosis.

As well as the physical conditions he has been diagnosed with PTSD from a religious cult upbringing and being groomed as an early teen. He's going to sensitive claims therapy for PTSD and been making incredible progress, now able to read and comprehend books which he's struggled with his whole life and has even overcome flashbacks when under water passing L2 in swimming lessons. He lives in chronic pain every day and still manages physio at home so his joints don't dislocate in his sleep. Despite all the progress, his endometriosis has become too debilitating, experiencing hours of contractions daily. The public health system has declined Doctor's referrals for a hysterectomy 3 times as they aren't doing hysterectomys without cancer in the organs...

We fell in love when we were 15 and we have been through so much together, now that his mental health is improving he wants to study to be a community support worker but needs to self fund a hysterectomy as his endometriosis is currently too debilitating to study alongside.

It breaks my heart to see this strong creative man reduced to bed rest every day but this is our reality.
