help paying off medical bills
Auckland
I have had some unexpected medical bills while living in Thailand. Hospitals here expect to be paid immediately for all treatment, so we have had to borrow money to cover the costs. We have spent the equivalent of about $20000 NZD so far, and have less than $2000 left available to us - though this money also needs to support the family for the rest of the month. Any money donated will help us to pay the loans off and build up a bit of a buffer in case of any further emergencies.
Any money donated will help to pay off the bills so we can return to a stable financial state. The money will be put towards paying back the money we have borrowed regardless of if we reach the target amount or not.

there's a risk when replacing the aortic valve, particularly in cases like mine where there was a lot of calcification to remove, that the heart's electrical system may be disrupted. my heart rhythm was monitored for a while after surgery, and by Wednesday it was decided that l would need a pacemaker. it was installed yesterday (Thursday) - a relatively straightforward procedure that took about an hour and only required local anaesthetic - and now that my heart is beating correctly l am feeling a lot better.
