Medical Emergency

My friends parents' recent visit to Newzeland to spend time with grand kid was winding down, they suddenly faced enormous roller coaster of emotions.Rameshkumar Venibhai Patel battle hypertention, Brian storks, internal bleeding, cardiac arrests, acute kidney failure ( in short Multi organ failure )over a short span of 2 weeks but to his great fortune, he managed to power through to survive, 22 days and counting (fingers crossed).

He was travelling back on 11/12/2019 to india, while he was boarding a flight, he had a medical emergency and was transferred to hospital from airport and he was diagnosed with Hypertension and he was discharge home with local Dr. follow up and started treatment, on 15/12/2019 his health deteriorated and he was taken to hospital in emergency and he was diagnosed with Brian stroke and he is paralysed on his right side of hand and leg, also he has lost his swallowing abilities. While he was undergoing with treatment, he had a internal bleeding and had multi organ failure ( heart attack and he was revived back, acute kidney failure, Gastrointestinal bleeding, respiratory failure) and he was placed in induced coma to recover him and he started showing sign of recovery and he was moved back from ICU to normal ward. Since than Dr has tried to insert a Nasogastric Tube to feed him as he is not able to swallow food but it was not successful and dr are still not sure if they will be able to insert the nasogastric tube or not. Also Doctors are not sure of his discharge from hospital due to his medical conditions.

As they pull themself together emotionally, the other reality of this event is the immense strain on their financial situation. Although they had purchased visitor's insurance, they have been informed by the hospital/insurance folks that any hope of their claims will not stand much of a chance with links to some or the other pre-existing condition.

His family would greatly appreciate any help to get them past this hump! While they don't wish such a misfortune to anyone they pledge to continue to pay it forward to the community. Thus I request donations on behalf of my friend. Even a little help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
