This local family lost almost everything in a house fire on Wednesday 28th May.. We are such a caring community, let's give them a hand.

Canterbury

One of our own, right here in OXFORD lost just about everything in a house fire today... Let's help them out... Every little bit will allow them to rebuild their lives... Imagine losing everything you ever owned... not something we would wish on anyone...But with the money donated from here they will be able to recoup the basic necessities lost in the fire. Most importantly a young man needing work clothes and general household items that we take for granted on a day to day basis. Let's take a small part of the stress away by allowing Mel and her family to some flexibility to get through the new wee while.

Mel and her children have lost everything in an unfortunate accident leaving them to replace almost everything. Not all things can be brought. As a community we felt that this money would enable them to find new accommodation. Fill the pantry. Replace clothing and bedding. Work requirements needed to be replaced and also gear for the younger children.

I am involved in this as we live in a very small close knit rural community. When news of this house fire struck the town jumped into life with offers of support coming from everywhere.
