Eva and Andriy escaped Russian bombardment in Melitopol with their four horses - please help them survive and bring more horses to safety

"We packed really fast, preparing our horses, taking a sack of hay for them to eat on the road. So we were finally on the road, horses did not get out of the truck for 3 days and nights, going through shelling in Kherson, through all the most active battlefields, passing on a very fast speed through the fields, through any possible roads we could find."
This was the reality for Eva and Andriy after Russia attacked Melitopol where they lived a peaceful, blissful life running a riding school.
Despite their ordeal they were so generous welcoming refugee children (who have also fled to Izmail) to visit and ride their refugee horses. It was a magical day. At the end Eva and Andriy spoke about their ordeal and the predicament they now find themselves in. (Click here https://drive.google.com/file/d/14J7C98k35Ydo6tph8_-BOF75duy830BF/view to read more of their story plus children's letters telling what the day meant for them). Please help me raise some funds for them to set up a new school, pay for feed and vet bills and bring more horses to safety.
I met Eva and Andriy when I visited Izmail in western Ukraine in September to support the family of my son's partner - their incredible story of bravery and devotion to their animals inspired me to try and help them start their lives again.

A young life saved 21 January 2023
As we enjoy these beautiful summer days it is hard to imagine the conditions for Ukrainians living without power, in occupied areas, homeless, injured or bereaved from Russian attacks.
This time last year they had peace, hopes and dreams of a bright future.
As a horse lover the latest story told to me by Eva brings home the terrible choices some are forced to make.
A butcher rang Eva because a woman had given up all her horses to him. She could no longer protect them and it meant a humane death by an expert. The butcher rang Eva because he could not bring himself to kill a young foal that was in the group. Thanks to the recent transfer of funds from our Give A Little page Eva was able to purchase and transport the foal to their refuge in Izmail.
Here he is meeting one of the older refugees.
This was only possible due to your donation - the cost to save this life was equivalent of NZ$500.
Eva and Andrei are desperately trying to arrange for more rescues but there is a lot of red tape and expense involved. Please share their story so we can get to our target of $10,000.
Thank you so much.
Thanks beautiful xx
What can I say Beryl! I am blown away that the message has travelled to UK and will ensure Eva and Andriy know of it. Thank you so much. PS (Love my daily lake swims with Kim, she is a delight xx)
Thank you so much for helping Lyndsey
