Memorial seat for a 10-year-old boy killed by the corrupt regime of the Islamic republic.
Iran has been rocked by the biggest protests in years following the death of Mahsa Amini on 16 September. The country's morality police, which is tasked with enforcing strict codes around dress and behaviour, had arrested the 22-year-old for not wearing her hijab properly. In the police van, she was beaten so severely that she went into a coma, and three days later, she died from her horrific injuries. Mahsa's death has ignited protests from Iranian around the world, which now turned into a revolution.
Security forces cracked down on protestors "very violently". At least 350 people, including 52 children, have been killed; 16,000 arrested, and hundreds injured; though these figures are likely to be much higher as much goes unreported.
Kian Pirfalak, a 10-year-old boy who was going home with his father and was targeted with bullets by the corrupt regime of the Islamic republic. Their car was attacked from all four sides. Kian was shot in the chest with a live round and died at the scene.
We want to raise money to install a seat memorial (ideally with an ocean view) for Kian in Auckland.
