Methven FC Clubrooms Purchase

As most of you will be aware Methven Football Club, Canterbury, NZ has been providing coaching, social events, fitness and many key skills to all ages from young children up to senior level, since 1982.

Late last year we were given the opportunity to Purchase The Club Rooms at the domain, which after renting for so many years we agreed to proceed with the purchase.

We believe this facility to be crucial to the club and community as a whole and is our central hub for match days and training sessions. However just like many of us locals and the rest of the world, we have been affected by covid-19 and our agreed purchase and payment plan have been put in jeopardy. What you may not be aware is as a club we cannot function on player subscriptions alone and every season we put on fundraisers and seek sponsorship. Due to the lock down we have been forced to cancel 3 of our fundraisers already and now we are in the situation whereby we are really struggling.

We are now reaching out to public to anyone that can make a donation in support of keeping our local club afloat. Whatever you can afford will make such a difference for us and young and old players alike.

We will be running a Fun Quiz next Saturday 2nd May 2020 at 8pm Nz time.
