Why am I running and fundraising? Well let me tell you a little story …It began two years ago when l traveled to Nepal to volunteer at a school in the hills of Nepal called Maya Universe Academy. This decision change my life forever. A school like Maya functions solely on a community aspect including Staff, Parents and Volunteers and even students. This place is not only a school but also will take in children who have lost their parents, so they have a safe and warm place to thrive. Where Maya lacks in everyday luxuries it sure makes up for it in the pure luxury of life and living in the moment everyday that is full of love, song, dance and laughter.

With all the devastating natural disasters happening in Nepal it has significantly affected the amount of people that want to travel there. This prevents people from wanting to volunteer which Maya relies upon. Maya also need helps in funds to support children that have been affected by the recent floods.

It is so hard to express how incredible and deserving this place is and what an impact they make on the children and families Nepal but I hope I have at least successfully shared a snippet of this with you.
