To support Michelle, Sam and baby Billie on her treatment journey.
Bay of Plenty
Hi,
On the 25th October 2019 Michelle unfortunately was diagnosed with cancer (she has nodular hodgkins lymphoma). This has come as a massive shock to us all and is very upsetting given the birth of her and Sam's first child last month, Billie is only six weeks old. Whilst Michelle's prognosis is good, she has a tough road ahead with the commencement of chemotherapy within the next week or so. The next six months in particular will be difficult and this diagnosis will effect when she can return to work from parental leave. Trying to care for a baby during this time adds extra stress.
I am wanting to raise some money for them to alleviate pressure and allow them some funds to use for practical support during this time.
Thank you for reading.
I am Michelle's older sister.
Cleaner, meal delivery services perhaps, living expenses given she cannot return to work as planned in April 2020.
Two month update 14 January 2020
Hi friends and family-
Michelle thanks you all for the many kind donations this far. Following two months of chemo and a follow up scan last week, the results indicated whilst the main tumour has shrunk, the cancer remained active. Unfortunately Michelle is now having to move onto a much more intensive chemo starting 20th Jan. The regimen means alot more regular hospital apts + medication at home. The side effects will be alot more severe and she will do this treatment for three months. Please feel free to share this page as we try and crack the $5k mark! Thank you 😊
