Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy

With Michelles condition instead of turning to drugs or alcohol she has turned to food to help her cope.

She can manage walking at this stage for 10 mins or so. With exercising there is a fine line between exercising & overexercising which can deteriate & weaken the muscles even more. However she has to use it before she loses it so to speak.

Unfortunately Michelles lung capacity is decreasing rapidly due to her lack of muscle capacity to help her lungs function properly.

OT from the hospital have given her a remote controlled chair so she can learn to sleep sitting up to help her breathing.

Michelle has had a letter to say they have refused surgery to lose weight as it will be too risky so she 110% wants to go to Jenny Craig to help her and support

I have been to the bank and taken out a loan for $3,300 to help my daughter get started for a 12 week course. Michelle is on a disability benefit and I her mother being a widow trying to help my daughter it all has got too much hence me trying to reach out for help.

She will need ongoing support.

Michelles choice is live or die as her respiratory system cannot cope.

She has asked for my help as she decided she wants to live and lose weight.
