Michelle Wynne: Living the writing dream

Hi there!

Thank you SO much for stopping by my page! My name is Michelle, I am 27 years old and I currently live in the beautiful community of Rotorua. I am on the exciting journey of having my first book published!

After a gruelling (yet inspiring!) writing process, and then having my manuscript meticulously scoured several times by eagle-eye editors, it is now a step closer to being published and released! I am working with a great team through Castle Publishing (Tauranga) who are helping me to produce and release my book both in hard copy and as an e-book. I have entitled this book, "En-counter-ing God", and below is an insight into what the book is about:

The book is endeavours to capture the magnitude of God's love and how we can live in the fullness of His blessing. To give structure, the book tracks through the eleven steps of quality customer service that I was required to adhere to during my former days as a checkout operator at a supermarket. It assigns faith principles to each step in the hope that the reader will gain a greater insight into the magnificent Father heart of God, spurring them to accept His invitation to draw closer to Him. It looks at how our lives can become richer when we choose to have the Word of God as our foundation, to lean into the Holy Spirit each day for guidance and grace, to make prayer a priority, and to commit to leading a life of outrageous love.

As the book unfolds, it looks at how baggage (insecurities, deception, pride, apathy, etc) holds us back from living in the freedom that is readily available to us, and the climax of the book focuses on the cross and the continual outpouring of God's grace. The conclusion captures the fact that we are called to live BIG, generous lives, where God remains at the centre and active service toward others remains the call - loving God and loving people! Knowing who were are in Christ will enable us to live and lead in our sphere of influence.

Throughout the book, there is the ongoing analogy where God is in the role of the checkout operator and I've placed us all in the role of the customer. The content is also laced with scripture and anecdotal stories to help unpack the teaching points and concepts. I have been told that this book has you laughing one moment and then challenged the next. It is pitched for a teen/adult audience, and is designed to provide encouragement and refreshment amidst the busy-ness and unpredictability of life.

I am needing to raise approximately $5000 to see this book come to life and into the hands or onto the screens of readers. My heart really is to see people flourish in all that they are called to do and be, and I believe that this book has the potential to release people into freedom and to refresh them amidst life's ups and downs.
