Mike Bakker Charitable Trust

Hello, I'm taking part in the 2011 Bupa Great North Run on 18/09/2011 to raise money for Cancer Research UK and the Mike Bakker Charitable Trust and would really welcome your support. The GNR 2011 is a huge goal for me. Since coming back to the UK in 2007 I've watch the GNR on the TV and often wondered what it would be like to take part in a great event, especially in a great city like Newcastle. Last year our Family lost a long time friend to Cancer back in NZ and during that time I decided that I wanted to do something to help raise awareness and for research. Taking the leap to do the GNR is a huge one for me but now I have added incentive in my Little Angel Niamh. She is already helping out by coming on my training runs!! Training is well underway and I'm clocking up the miles and with the help from my old mate KB a training plan is underway to get me through the 13 odd miles.
