Missions Trip in Mexico

I have been accepted to go on a 5-month missions trip and discipleship training school (DTS) program with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Baja California, Mexico. The DTS I will be doing is called Compassion in Action DTS, here I will learn about God and study the work and then go out into the community and put this into action - including local ministries such as building homes, feeding the homeless, ministering to orphans, and praying over the red light district. This is something God has put on my heart to do for a long time now and opened so many doors to make this happen. Not only do I think this is a big part of my calling and a dream of mine which will be a life-changing experience for me, but I am praying and believing that this would not end with me. I wholeheartedly believe that this compassion in action DTS would bring relief to those who need it the most.

While in the midst of a pandemic, missions and aid work is still considered an essential service so I will be allowed to go in spite of covid-19, which is fantastic but has added some expenses to this trip that I hadn't planned for. Currently, I have over half of what i need to cover the costs of going on this trip but still need to pay for flights, visa, vaccinations etc which has stacked up to a lot more than you'd think! Unfortunately, any scholarships and funding I could have gotten have been stopped due to covid-19 so I am currently doing all that I can to raise money - working more, selling my car etc - in hopes that this won't be the one thing that stops me from going! I leave January 2021 and will be back by June, which is fast approaching which is why I need help!

The money will be used to help cover the cost of getting me there (eg flights, vaccinations, food, visas etc). If for some reason I end up not being able to go I will still donate the money or postpone the trip and go on the DTS at a later date.
