Help Mitch get to Para Athletics World Champs in Paris, July 2023

Silverdale, Auckland

Hey guys, im sure a lot of people on this page know exactly who i am and what im about but a quick recap!

Im a below knee amputee sprinter who has been selected for the 2023 World Para Athletic Champs in Paris in July where i will run the 100m and the 200m, this will be my 2nd World champs with my first one being Dubai 2019.

Ultimatly aiming to be back in Paris next year as a Paralympian.

These tours are all self funded so i have had to chase support where i can and am really thankful to G.J.Garderner Homes who supported me through the season and Disability Sport Auckland and Black & White Golfers Trust who have already fronted up with a little over half the cost of this trip but im still about $5000 short.

If you are in a position to help then please do but im not expecting anything from anyone, i know how expensive life is and i dont want to make anyones situation tight but every little bit does help and every little bit would be greatly appreciated.

If you work for a company or something please put them in touch im happy to do endorsements, appearances or emcee/motivational speaking jobs in exchange.

Cheers

All done!  19 July 2023

Hey everyone!

Im all finished racing now and on my way to Germany on a train for a much needed rest.

World champs really could not have gone any better, my 100m early in the champs went fine i wasnt over the moon with the run but it set me up really well for my preferred event the 200m on the final day of the champs. Being on tour and having access to daily physio was a game changer I went into the 200m with the body feeling great and a good race plan in mind. Near perfect weather for sprinting as well helped me run new Oceania record and secure a Bronze medal for New Zealand. This is my first major medal and i could not be more proud, i finished 8th in the 200m 4 years ago at the World Champs in my New Zealand debut so to put myself on the podium is a moment i will never forget.

I truely could not have got over here without the support and genourosity of so many and i am eternally grateful for you all helping me live out my dreams!

Cheers

Mitch
