  • Merry Xmas update from the Langas

      20 December 2017

Hi nik, we had our doctors' appointment today. This was a follow up post surgery and post radiation therapy. They showed us the most recent mri scan dated 8th dec. It showed a significant decrease in size compared from presurgery scan. The white spots where the pathology was can tell us 2 things. It is either the effects of radiation and from the surgery or the remnants of the tumour cells are still lingering. The doctors assume that it is the latter and suggest chemotherapy. Since they can't confirm, only assume, we wanted the chemotherapy to put on hold until her next scan on february, where we can definetely tell the status of her brain tumour. We all are still asking to continue to pray for her complete healing. With Christmas coming so close, the best gift we receive is that God really never abandoned us and made us feel His love thru the people that surrounds us, near or far, we feel the neverending care and support.. GOD BLESS US ALL. Merry Christmas!

We would like to thank everyone for continually praying and supporting us, especially for my brave warrior princess Mitzi. The doctors are debating whether the brain tumour is ependymoma or astroblastoma but regardless it is still a type of tumour that is fast growing. The surgery she had was a success. The radiotherapy will commence 25th September to make sure that the cancer cells will be 100% eradicated. The treatment will a 6-week course. Monday - friday. She is braving it because we believe she will get thru this.. Miracles do happen and we pray for God to bless and heal her..

Hi guys. Mitzi is doing well. Last Tuesday, the hema doctor cancelled the bone marrow procedure. The pathologist informed her that the lymphoma is now ruled out. It is something else. But what is? We still don't know. As far as we know, she will not need chemo since it is not lymphoma. She is now under the care of the neuro team again. The neuro doctor is discharging her home today. They are amazed on her speedy recovery. She has regained her left hand coordination. The droop on her left lip is still there but looking to be improving.. She will be seen by the neuro doctor next Monday to discuss the final results of the biopsy and the course of action. She is on prophylactic anti seizure and steroid as well. Everyday is a miracle. Everyday we get good news and we would want to stay that way - happy living. Think of positive thoughts and it will happen. Thanks u once again for everyone's love and support.

Mitzi had a craniotomy surgery last friday for removal of lesion at the right frontal lobe. The initial impression is lymphoma. we are waiting for the final results of the biopsy.. She is now transferred from HDU to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre here in Melbourne to do further tests. Then she will commence chemotherapy at some point. Guys we both need your prayers that we will overcome this obstacles we are facing... God bless us all
