A mobility van is a much-needed asset to help the seniors in Cambridge. It's Resthaven Foundation’s major fundraising project for 2016, and November is the target date to have new wheels!
For people who need special mobility transport, a mobility van means they can get out and about and enjoy the things we all take for granted.
Currently, Cambridge Resthaven retirement village and resthome has one mobility van, and it has been available to other organisations in the community. But there is now so much demand for the existing van it has reached the level where a second van is needed. A Ford Transit mobility van with a wheelchair hoist costs $90,000.
This is the Resthaven Foundation’s major 2016 fundraising project.
We provide resources and services for older people in our Cambridge community, that they otherwise couldn't afford. Day-to-day equipment, special programmes and education - these are all things we know will make a difference at Cambridge Resthaven.
