On 24 February 2018 I will be running the 85km Old Ghost Ultra - my longest run ever! This event is run on the Old Ghost Road, on the stunning West Coast of New Zealand.
The track is a long-forgotten gold miners’ road that has been revived as a mountain biking and tramping trail – connecting the old dray road in the Lyell (Upper Buller Gorge) to the mighty Mokihinui River in the north. It traverses majestic native forest, open tussock tops, river flats and forgotten valleys. The volunteer-driven Mokihinui-Lyell Backcountry Trust partnered with a range of other entities to make The Old Ghost Road a reality.
As part of the lead up to my run, I am fundraising for the Mokihinui-Lyell Backcountry Trust who are a passionate group of volunteers who built the track and maintain it to a world-class standard.
Your support will not only mean so much to me, and show that you are supporting me on my epic run, but it will also mean so much to the folk at the Mokihinui-Lyell Backcountry Trust.
Cheers, and thank you so much!

I am involved with this cause as I am a passionate runner who is running the Old Ghost Ultra, with the help of Squadrun, on the track that these wonderful people created.
Funds raised will go directly to the Mokihinui-Lyell Backcountry Trust to assist them with maintenance and upgrades of the Old Ghost Road trail.
Miscounted! 27 October 2017
Actually I made $252.70 at the Halloween run, which takes the total to $437.70 - every dollar helps!
