Help get more trees at the Rangiora Dog Park!
Rangiora, Canterbury
Waimakiriri Council have done a fantastic job of providing spaces for dogs, in particular the dog park at Millton Reserve. However the small dog park needs more trees and council has no spare funds. As a regular user, I want to donate a tree or two to the council, but the cost is higher than I can afford on my own. I am asking for donations towards a tree(s) from anyone who can afford a few dollars to help. All funds will go towards the dog park.
A large tree (3.5m+) requires large machinery to transport and plant the tree, and regular watering and maintenance for the first few years. The cost of a large tree has been decided by the council to be $2370. A smaller tree (1.5m) can be planted for around $200. The smaller tree could take many years to get to the larger size.
Regular user of the park.
Established trees, the supply and planting of them.
All funds will be allocated to as many large trees as possible, with remaining money going towards as many smaller trees as possible. I will make up any difference to complete a number of smaller trees.
Many thanks. My dog would like to give you a big kiss!
