A regular kiwi mother defending her family’s basic human rights has been fined $16,000
Manawatu-Wanganui
The Health and Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has fined me $16,000 and has accused me of being a threat to public health due to my concerns around the ethics of lack of informed consent and the right to choose/refuse medical treatment. I was a registered nurse, although not practicing, during the pandemic. Raising 4 children alone whilst my retail business struggled to keep afloat due to lockdowns, I felt cornered and concerned that our family would be made to accept an experimental vaccine. I aired my thoughts on my personal Facebook page to family and friends. An ex colleague reported me to the nursing council.
In my opinion, I challenged what I believe to be an the unethical narrative that the Labour government was pushing, and the nursing council breeched my rights and reprimanded me for my personal and political beliefs.
I have 6 children, we are on one income and despite having been granted legal aid, the tribunal fined me $16,000 and would not consider my legal aid status. I tried to fight the system on behalf of other nurses being censored and unfortunately found myself penalised in a biased system.
I am hoping fellow citizens of New Zealand would help contribute to this fine and support people like myself who have tried to defend our basic human rights. Mandates still continue in healthcare despite the current evidence of potential harm and a shortage of health professionals in NZ healthcare.
Contributing to the fine incurred from the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal. $17k is inclusive of Givealittle fees
Reality Check Radio Interview 5 April 2024
Thank you so much for all of your generous donations towards my cause. I am feeling so blessed and supported after 3 years of feeling lost and alone. I just wished I had shared my story sooner! Unfortunately, I felt extremely beaten down and ashamed due to the way the nursing council had accused me. It has been unbearable. After courageously stepping out into the light, speaking my truth, I have seen that I have so many kind, caring supporters out there. I am truly grateful, beyond words.
I bravely shared my story on Reality Check Radio on Thursday morning. For those that haven’t yet seen, would like to listen to again, or share my story, you can access the replay from Reality Check Radio (RCR) on the following link: https://realitycheck.radio/zelia-leslie-mandated-nurse-on-being-censured-by-the-health-practitioners-disciplinary-tribunal-for-fb-posts-about-the-covid-jab-and-her-16000-fine/
Thank you so so much!
Blessings to you all,
Zelia (and family)
