Music Instruments

$605 of $1,500 goal
Given by 11 generous donors in 9 weeks

We are fundraising to help maintain our stock of 510 instruments, which need regular repair and replacement.

Nationwide

We provide music therapy sessions to an average of 200 children and adolesents with special needs, each week. Through music we are able to help with the growth, development and well being of these young New Zealanders. We change their lives through music.

About us

Music therapy is transformative. It enables joyful expression, understanding and connection for people facing emotional, intellectual, physical or social challenges - at any age. While their whānau find support and respite, welcomed by a community committed to transforming the lives of their loved ones. We provide proven, world-class music therapy that is life-changing for clients, their whānau and the wider community. Evidence shows that for every client, at least five others in their world benefit from the ripple effect.

Raukatauri receives no direct government funding. Every dollar donated subsidises therapy sessions, reducing barriers for families and expanding access to outreach programmes in schools, hospitals, prisons and aged care. Your support funds real, measurable change: more sessions, shorter waitlists, and more New Zealanders experiencing the life-changing benefits of music therapy.
