Fighting and Finding a miracle for Sahara
Christchurch, Canterbury
My sweet, and courageous 21-year old daughter Sahara has been diagnosed with Desmoplastic small round cell tumor sarcoma. A trip to the hospital turned into a nightmare, five litres of liquid in her left lung (which had to be drained through a tube through her chest causing her excruciating pain), a 30cm tumor found on her left ovary that needed to be removed and upon surgery, bad became worse. Her tumors were bleeding ( she needed 11 units of blood to recover) and even with the removal of her left ovary and fallopian tube there were still tumors that could not be removed safely, as some had made there way to the lining of her liver and her intestine and with the loss of blood all tumors in her pelvic area and uterus were also left behind as well. That's when we heard the words Desmoplastic Round Cell tumor for the first time , a rare sarcoma with no known cure and less than 200 people worldwide to have ever have the same diagnosis. So we are praying, fighting and searching for a miracle and need your help. Sahara has so many hopes and dreams, she hasn't traveled , never married , never experienced the joy of motherhood. And this is what we are fighting for, the miracles of life. To know Sahara is to love her, and not just by her family and friends but by everyone who has been blessed by her presence in their lives. We know that God has his loving arms around her, we just need to do our part too, and with your help we can all see God's miracle of healing come to pass!
Sahara is my courageous and beautiful daughter
