Teddy's Heart is Too Big

$750 donated
Given by 17 generous donors in 12 days

Please help us to manage Teddy's heart disorder.

Whitecliffs, Canterbury Region

Our beautiful big retired greyhound Teddy was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy or DCM and heart fibrillation in January and nearly died. After extensive tests and multiple visits to the vet we have him on the right meds and our special boy is back to himself! He is only five and a half and has the potential to live a long and happy pet life if he has the right medication.

We are a single parent family and spending hundreds per month for pet meds is not in the budget.

Use of funds

To help clear vet bills and fund his ongoing medications which are not cheap.

Good news for Teddy  27 February 2026

Our BFG Teddy is doing very well on his heart meds. So much so that we have been able to cut his diuretic down to tiny amounts, which means his heart is doing its job and clearing fluid as it pumps! This is also good news for his kidneys long term. 🐕❤️🐾
