Taranaki Mum (Kylee Boyes-Price) with MS clings on to hope for a future with her 4 young sons

  • On step at a time

      3 July 2019

Our fundraising is still ongoing, with various raffles, quiz nights, fashion shows and even a couple of movie nights. We had an incredible donation from a team in Macau, House of Dancing Waters. They had a fun night, just for us. After the amazing gift of 150 ball gowns, our balance is slowly creeping up, but we still need to persevere without any hesitation. Our funds are for the airfares, treatment and other related expenses to get to Russia return. Our target is $100k, the sooner we reach this, this sooner the treatment starts and life continues for a mum and her boys. With generous donations to date, we have raised $32,000. It's a powerful reminder of the public being kind, thoughtful and giving. Thank you so much everyone.

Please note, that in the unforeseen event that Kylee is unable to travel, we will transfer all the funds to another MS recipient who is wishing to have this treatment.

    Thanks again

  • Delivering to the public

What a busy week it's been. Kylee suffered another fall late last week, nothing to damaging thankfully. Skinned knees, grazed hands and banged her shoulder. It was a rainy day and lost her footing. She's had severe toothache (yuk) and now, something positive. Our local paper did a feature on her today and the feedback has been magical. Lots of support and donations. Thank you to all.

  • Fundraising all go

With our committee formed, we are on a roll. A few weeks ago we held a wonderful fashion show in Hawera, sponsored by Ballentynes Fashion Central, raising almost $1300. We have another one planned for the first week of October, showing off the summer range. Another effort is underway, this time with a monster raffle, which we have aptly named 'hungry hamper'. We are having 5 draws, with, of course, first draw being the grocery hamper. Seriously, it's going to be BIG. Well over 250 items already donated, it's looking great. Vouchers, food, pamper basket, car wash essentials.. A ticket will be a must. Once we have the goods sorted, we will start selling the tickets. Watch this space everyone.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, you are all stars.

An accident at home has unfortunately laid Kylee up for a few weeks. Shattered her ankle and is now on the road to recovery. Has had the cast off and now has a moonboot and crutches to get her around. Physio starts on the 12th, so here's hoping.
