Help get the Nakibots to the USA!

Nakibots has come a long way since starting as a small robotics club 4 years ago, and with help we have expanded a little from 1 to 7 robot kits and have introduced robotics to children from all over the region aged between 6 and 13 years old. We still meet most Sunday mornings, often in our garages, to work on our robots, based on the VEX IQ robotics system. For the fourth year in a row, the Nakibots have won the national VEX IQ championship and will go to represent our country - and Taranaki - in the World Championships in the USA with over 1600 teams from 65 countries competing.

Nakibots has been very successful in our achievements to date:

· Winning the NZ championship in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, qualifying to compete in the world championships each year in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

· At the Worlds in 2016, we won the International Energy Award.

· At the Worlds in April 2017, we won the Think Award and came 10th overall.

· In December 2017 at the New Zealand Nationals, we won the Team Challenge and the Robot Skills challenge.

· In the Asia Pacific Competition 2017, we won the STEM project Award and the Think Award.

Not bad for a small group of kids from Taranaki!

We are trying to raise enough money to help send our 2 winning robots to compete at the World Championships in the USA. Any help to get the team to America and to keep our club running in Taranaki would be greatly appreciated.
