This page is to raise money for families struggling after losing their jobs due to the recent mandates.

Nationwide

Please join us for the

🌟 NATIONAL UNITY RUN NZ 2021 🌟

to show our support to everyone who has lost their jobs or been affected by the mandates.

How can I be a part of it you ask? 😎

• Join us in person and challenge yourself to the 42km (marathon) run on Saturday the 18th of December at 10:00am at the Wellington road entrance to Queen Elizabeth II Park.

We will be running the Kāpiti coastal cycle route from Paekākāriki to Peka Peka and back, finishing off with a dip in the ocean at Paekākāriki beach! Alternatively you can opt for the half marathon and arrange to be picked up in Peka Peka or run from Paekākāriki - Raumati return.

• Come along & show your support, take a run/walk at your own pace & distance through Q.E.II park, bring a picnic, we will be set up down there from 10-3pm. All are welcome!

• For people in the rest of Aotearoa who want to participate in solidarity please get a group together in your own community and do your own marathon run/or whatever suits you and post your photos/videos with the hashtag #NationalUnityRunNZ2021

• Donate anything you can afford to the give a little page, everything raised will go directly to people who are struggling with the financial effects of losing their income due to the mandates.

• Please let us know if there is someone or a family that needs help and give us an email at thenationalunityrun@gmail.com with the subject “National Unity Run NZ 2021” - these will be the people that the donations will be going to.

• Bring koha on the day - baking, food from the garden, something you have made that will brighten someone's day!

• Share, share, share! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your neighbor's, share this post on social media and tell people to check out the National Unity Run NZ 2021 Facebook group. We want this to reach and involve as many people as possible!

• Reach out to people in your own community and see if they could do with a hand or even just someone to talk to, you never know the influence your kindness can have on someone.

• Please be compassionate to your fellow humans, we are all trying to navigate this the best we can.

United we stand, divided we fall, may peace and love be upon us all.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us at thenationalunityrun@gmail.com or on Facebook messenger.

We look forward to connecting with you, thank you all so much. 💛

With love,

Jinz & Zara

Thank You!   20 December 2021

Huge thanks to everyone who donated! 🤟

We raised $1628.00 NZD 🥳

Give A Little take 5% processing fee.

The full funds take until 20-25 of January to be processed.

Until then we will be seeking the ideal person/people to donate the money to.

Honestly thanks so much to everybody involved I know this money isn't a life changing amount but I'm sure there's someone out there right now who could really use it to help set up an alternative income stream.

Loadsa love to you all ❤

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
