Need a new work wagon

Hi , I am a 50 year old man from Tauranga who works with his hands. I have always had a thirst for knowledge and have worked in many different industries in my lifetime, I have enjoyed and excelled at them all, including but not limited to- landscaping + stone walls and water features, chefing for 6 years, building, construction, commercial fishing, bee keeping, truck driving and running 2 small businesses as a painter and decorator and an artist.

At this point in my life I have accepted the fact that I have always had to work hard for my money but never seem to get ahead. I am an empathetic soul with a big heart, brought up with good morals and values, always going out of my way to help friends and strangers when needed without any thought of personal reward, simply because it feels like the right thing to do.

I have spent the past 6 years of my life living in a garage, helping my mother establish a small lifestyle block and build an extension onto the house, realising her lifelong dream for her retirement. Like me, mum has always been a hard worker and we have done the majority of the work ourselves to keep costs to an absolute minimum.

I pride myself on the fact that I don't owe any money to anyone and that everything I own, although it's old, is mine and well looked after. My vehicle has finally reached an age where it is no longer financially viable to keep maintaining it. For a 1988 Mitsubishi pajero exceed, it is in great condition and has been religiously maintained and looked after, unfortunately for what it is , it will only be worth between 2 and 3 thousand dollars to me as a resale value, and there is not a lot out there in today's market at this price range.

Unfortunately, no one in my family or friends is in a position to help me out with this, although they are keeping their eyes open.

I really need another four wheel drive, closed unit, as I carry all my work tools in it, and I use it around the property to do work , and also get some painting jobs locally ( we are out in the country ) where the terrain requires it. I am not asking for money but rather am hoping that someone else out there with a big heart will hear my predicament and maybe has such a vehicle that they would be prepared to sell me for my budget ( possibly an old company vehicle that has out lived its blue book value) . Again , my budget is $2,500.00 to $3,000.00 .
