Neisha Tandon

Hi all,

I have set this page up for a very brave woman that I recently came to know about - Neisha Tandon.

Neisha is from India and was first married in 2004 when she was 23 into a family who were dowry seekers. She then gave birth to a beautiful baby girl but her husband and in-laws did not want a girl child. Neisha very bravely walked out of her marriage with her 6 month old daughter and decided to bring her up as a single mother. 8 years later, in a shopping mall, a handsome young man saw Neisha and fell in love with her. Since he was 5 years younger to Neisha, the families did not approve of the match. Undeterred, Atul married Neisha and became a father to her beautiful daughter.

Atul and Neisha moved to New Zealand in 2014, away from the bad experiences in India and were living their dreams. But the beautiful story didn't last long - Atul at the age of 35 passed away in his sleep due to a cardiac arrest. Neisha and her daughter have nowhere to go now. Due to Neisha being on a dependent visa, she cannot work anymore and her daughter cannot attend school.
