Hi everyone! It’s now been 6 weeks post liver transplant! Neriah is doing so well, he had his liver numbers go a little up and down so he had a liver biopsy done last week. All came back fine no rejection. Numbers came back down the next day. We are staying at Ronald house now just waiting for time to pass by with continued stable blood levels and liver numbers. We are hoping to return home by Mid November so still a decent amount of time to wait for ! But overall both Hannah who donated and Neriah who received the liver are doing very well ! Hannah recover to full health without any complications and Neriah is still happy, smiling and giggling. Learning to roll now, and eat solid foods like mashed banana, and purées. Which he has been loving !

Thanks all again for your generous donations they have helped us immensely, we couldn’t imagine how much harder it would’ve been without the funds to get through our day to day bills and life. So thank you !!

Hi everyone ! Sorry it’s been a busy time. Haven’t got around to an update. To anyone that is following, On the 5th of September both my wife Hannah and our Son Neriah went into surgery. Hannah was a perfect matched donor. They both received their necessary surgeries, and are now 2 weeks post OP. Neriahs liver numbers are perfect which is quite rare to happen with a baby that was as Ill as he was. He’s stable, smiling and doing well. Just now awaiting his abdominal drain to dry up which should be another few days ! The only other issue we currently have is a lot of reflux or just vommiting due to his stomach being so small ! So hopefully he will over come that soon too.

We are thankful to the Lord our God who has pulled Neriah through all his procedures so smoothly and given him the strength to survive and become strong again. This is the beginning of our long journey with Neriah’s health but it’s the start we needed. We are again so thankful for you all who have donated and given us so much. We have been supported greatly by your love and generosity! Thank you thank you !!

Hi there everyone so been a busy few weeks! We have been going through tests, checks and monitoring over the weeks. Hannah my wife also got tests done to see if she would be a possible live donor and God has answered so many prayers and granted a miracle. The criteria for being a live donor is very very technical and quite rare to come by. Hannah passed all tests and her anatomy is perfect ! She will be the donor for Neriah. We only heard yesterday that there was openings and a confirmation for tomorrow to have the surgeries done ! A small section of Hannah’s liver will be taken and put into Neriah. We are hoping in and trusting the Lord God that they will go well, that both Hannah and Neriah will recover well, and that the transplant would be successful! Thank you for your great support to us. Can’t wait to have our wee family healthy and back home on the near future !

Thank you to all who have so generously given so far ! With the amount given so far we are financially supported for 4.5 Months. We really appreciate this so much ! If we do end up with excess funds when we depart back for home we will pass it on to either Starship or other family’s in need up here. So your donations will be going to people in need 100%. Our little man is stable, awaiting pre transplant test results. Once they come in and the team know exactly where his health is at, they can then put him on the donor waitlist and start testing any potential live donors starting with my wife Hannah who is the same blood type so we are praying and hoping she will be a match so that we can get our Son a new liver and recovering.

Blessings to you all. Much love from the Riley Family.
