Howick College Miami / Barbados Netball Trip

    Well the girls are now getting really excited about the trip and putting in a great effort to raise as much money as they can prior to leaving early in April. Pink Bag clothes collections and lots of weekend car washes outside of the school are keeping everyone busy along with Netball practice during the week.

    So if you are in the Howick area in the weekend it's only $5 per wash, pretty good value !

  • Additonal information on the girls trip

    The girls are working very hard fundraising to make this trip successful, with the cost of the trip being $6500 each. They have been working every weekend on carwashes, sausage sizzles, selling raffles and doing stock-takes to raise funds to enable them to make this opportunity come true. The girls will be participating in a 2 day International Netball Tournament in Miami where they will play other school teams from around the world. Then they head to Barbados to play some of the local club and school teams, where they will experience both a very different culture and style of netball. From this experience, the girls will use the knowledge gained to expand on the netball experience on home turf. This is an amazing once in a lifetime cultural and sporting opportunity for these girls which will encourage them to broaden their leadership skills and citizenship values equipping them for lifelong learning. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
