Help fandom friend get another chance

Many of us in the Neverwinter Nights 2 fandom are familiar with Kat from her presence on Tumblr and her writing on Archive of our Own.

On top of being a talented writer with an unusual level of focus on characters' psychologies, Kat is also a professional dressmaker and expert in historical clothing and fashions.

But for many years, she's been financially cornered into tolerating a very difficult and painful domestic situation.

Herself AuADHD, she is the full-time carer for her AuADHD son. When he was unable to learn in school because of his condition, she started homeschooling him. From having a reading level several years behind that of his peers, he is now ahead of them.

The child's father does not take part in his education.

This year, Kat finally met someone special, and wanted to move six hours' away to live closer to them – while remaining in the same country, on the same island.

Her ex waited until a few days before Kat was due to set off, then applied for a Parenting Order in the Family Court.

It forced Kat to delay the move. She is now renting two properties.

The court hearing is 22nd October.

She is down to her last $29.

Please help Kat keep herself, her son, her trained support dog, and her untrained support cats fed, while she fights back against her ex's coercion.
