This page is to help raise funds
Petone Central is a small decile 4 school in the heart of Petone. We are a diverse school with students from different ethnic and financial backgrounds. We are seeking funding to support the replacement of our school playground which is well over 30 years old and past its used by date.
Our playground is used not only by our students but also the community surrounding the area, including local churches, before school care, after school care, hall users, and local kids.
Our playground has had some parts removed for health and safety reasons and the rest has less than a years life left in it.
The ministry no longer funds school playgrounds therefore the school has to fund the full cost of the playground.
We have already fundraised towards a replacement and this will continue to be a huge fundraising effort during 2019.
We are aiming to fundraise $90,000 this year and appreciate any support given to our cause.
Use of Funds:
Funds raised with be used to replace our playground with a safer, more exciting, multi-age playground.
