This update is the final message you will receive from my give-a-little campaign. I’ve been overwhelmed by your support and generosity over the last few months. I hope that you felt a part of this journey because you made the difference.
In early 2023 I made the decision to commit to making history with the NZ Men’s Handball team. I had a goal; I wanted to be a part of our first win.
I didn’t know how I would make it a reality. I just started a new job, committed to wedding my beautiful fiancee and hadn’t played for over a year. The odds were not in my favour.
At a whim, a colleague suggested I make a give-a-little page. That’s where you joined the journey. Whatever it is that moved you to donate to my cause, it made an impact.
Since starting this page, you have donated to the sum of over $889. This helped to me to attend essential training camps and let me know that people out there want to see our team succeed.
Now here we are, one win recorded that can never be taken away from us, set as a challenge for the next generation of Kiwi Handballers.
Not only winning, it’s also the journey that led us here. Since feeling the support from my community I found the courage to start Southland Handball. I hope that this club will see the same success.
