Dialysis and heart attack newly weds Tragedy strikes twice
Auckland
Sue and Simon were married in April 2017. They did not have a honeymoon as they wanted to secure better living accommodation as a new family. Sadly Simon was recently diagnosed with kidney failure. We were all hoping he would improve and carry on a normal life of marital bliss. Sadly this is not the case. Simon is needing a transplant but first must go through dialysis. Sue and her daughter's were all prepared for how this is going to change and impact their lives but no one expected what was going to happen next. Anniversary weekend they had booked to go away for the weekend. Whilst packing the car Sue started to feel unwell. She went and lay down. When she got up to carry on packing she said to her husband,
"I think I'm having a heart attack."
He was upset that she would joke about such a thing. Then he realized something really was wrong. Ambulance was called and sure enough Sue was having a heart attack at the fine age of 48. She was rushed into hospital and it was found to be a blood clot that had split into 3. Blocking 3 arteries. The hospital did an angioplasty which resulted in them finding a mass of fluid around her heart. Into surgery she went so they could drain the fluid. Sue is still in hospital waiting for more results and more fluid to be drained.
I have known Sue for over 16 years, And no family deserves to suffer this much. xx
The funds are for living, travel ,bills, doctors, to take the stress and worry away for this family
