For 45 years, Nga Hau e Wha Marae, in Waihopai | Invercargill, has stood as the heart of whanau, hapu, and community in Waihopai, a place of manaakitanga, learning, and connection. Now, we are embarking on an exciting journey to revitalize and strengthen our marae for the next 45 years. With your support, we can complete essential redevelopment, preserve our taonga tuku iho, and create a secure and culturally welcoming place for tangihanga, hui, wananga, celebrations, and everyday whanau life. Together, we can lay the foundations for a future where our marae continues to inspire and nurture all whanau and the future generations to come.

Use of funds

To support the redevelopment of Nga Hau e Wha Marae. If the full amount is not raised, all funds will be used responsibly through a staged approach, prioritising critical works and progressing each stage as funding allows.
