Land SAR Northland is a voluntary organisation providing specialist land, cliff face and cave rescue teams across Northland. We are based in Whangārei and cover from Kaiwaka to Towai, and coast to coast and we work closely with our neighbouring groups.
Our team is made up of mums, dads, aunties, uncles, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, grandparents - some are tradies, some professionals, retired, employed part-time, full time and some-time. We are Northlanders and we respond when someone is lost, missing and injured 24/7.
About us
Northland Land SAR are a dedicated group of volunteers providing 24/7 land, cliff and cave search and rescue capability to support NZ Police.
Use of funds
Funds will support the team through equipment purchases, registration and warrants for the gear and mobile search HQ trailers and the e-text system used to call-out the team.
