3+years ago. Unable to use my leg. Pain Severe. MRI diagnosis: complex and extensive teres and a large cyst 21mm.

Minimal arthritis.

From then until now another 3 X MRI, scans and xrays. A&E twice by Ambulance, once carried. 10 day hospital stay. 5 x orthopedic surgeon's nothing wrong. Screaming with pain. A doctor said let's put a cortisone injection in the hip and prove it's the hip. Took advice pain free for just over a month. Felt like a spring chicken.

Sorry even if you were a candidate for surgery the steroid injection would prevent us even considering joint replacement for 6 months even if it was indicated. Arthritis may be causing the pain however, it's not at the level to justify hip replacement

Surgery. Certainly not near crossing the national prioritision threshold for public funding. No it is not arthritis it's now 2 large cysts + teres severe cramp. Unable to walk. Stay on Tramadol and Morphine.

I have two options;

Private. Hospital, Surgeon and anesthetist total $25,000.

Or continue lying on my bed wasting my life. A pensioner New Zealand born and bred. A Farmer's daughter, who fought for our Country.
