Help Nina raise money for The Marfans Foundation to put towards research, education & support, and help save lives and families.
Auckland
There's nothing more heartbreaking than losing someone you love to a medical condition that could have been acted upon if it had been diagnosed. Marfan's syndrome is a genetic connective tissue disorder that can result in a aortic dissection (alongside many, many other symptoms) meaning that others can lose their partner, child, sibling, parent and friend in a single moment.
Knowing what it feels like to lose someone in a way so similar to this, I don't want anyone else to go through what I have. So my goal is to both raise awareness of Marfan's Syndrome in NZ and support the work of The Marfan's Foundation by raising as much money as possible.. And what better (or more crazier) way than to run this years New York marathon!
It's a pretty sweet deal really.. i'll do all the hard work, the long hours and the kilometres (42 on the day to be exact.. alongside over 1000 training km's to get ready!) and you just hit the donate button and back me to help support this great cause. Deal?
Because no one should go through what I have, and if it can help save even one life through early diagnosis and awareness, this is all more than worth it and i'd do it a million times over.
