Seven Kiwi ultrarunners have been selected to represent New Zealand. BUT we are self-funded, self-supported and do not have a sponsor.
Nationwide
New Zealand has been invited to compete in the 2018 IAU 24H Asia and Oceania Championships to be held in Taipei (Chinese Taipei), Taiwan on December 1-2, 2018.
There are 12 Federations invited from Asia and two Federations invited from Oceania (New Zealand and Australia). The Championships will be held on the track at Soochow University Waishuanghsi Campus, with both individual and single gender team categories available.
As an individual, the aim is to cover the greatest possible distance in 24 hours on a 400 m track. To qualify for the team categories, each nation has to have a minimum of three individuals per team. The top three individual totals will be added together. The total distance will determine the position of the team.
