Raising funds to represent New Zealand in a Hockey World Cup (October in Cape Town, South Africa 2024).
Auckland
I am proud to announce that I have been selected to represent New Zealand Mens Overs 35s at the WMH World Cup Tournament to be played in Cape Town, South Africa from 12th - 21st October. I will be going as one of two Goalkeepers for the squad. This is the first opportunity that I have had to represent NZ. I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to finally wear the fern which has been a dream of mine since an early age.
NZ Hockey does not fund Masters teams so this amazing opportunity comes at a considerable expense as it's fully self-funded. The estimated cost will be around $8000 including Uniform (2x GK Shirts - $57.00 each, 2x GK Shorts - $49.00 each, 1x Polo - $57.00, 1x Team Jacket - $127.00), Flights ($2305), Tournament Fees and Accommodation ($2925.00), Training Camps (est. $400).
To allow me to represent Aotearoa, I am looking for donations or sponsorship to assist with all the expenses that are involved with being part of this NZ campaign. Any support you can offer would be extremely well received to help me achieve this lifelong dream of representing New Zealand.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and a huge thank you if you are able to contribute to my sporting aspirations in any way.
Many thanks
Sam Baker
