NZ Hang Gliding Team - Fundraising for 2019 World Hang Gliding Championships in Italy 13-27 Jul
Please help the seven person NZ Hang Gliding Team raise $8500 each to represent New Zealand at the 2019 World Hang Gliding Championships

We need your help. Our strongest NZ Hang Gliding Team in years has been selected and we stand a good chance of taking out a top ten place in both the Team and Individual categories. We are in great form and are excited about representing our Country however being an unfunded sport we have a lot of work ahead of us to raise enough money for this iconic World Championship event. All up it will cost each of our seven Team members over $8500 NZD, so please help us out and "Give A Little" if you can.
Over 40 countries will be represented with a total of 125 pilots competing. The competition will take place over 12 days. Each day a task will be set depending on the weather. A typical task will be 120-150km in length and take the top pilots 2-3 hours to complete. All pilots earn points depending on how well they flew. The best 3 scores from each day for each Nation go towards the overall Team/Nation scores. The Nation and Individual Pilot with the most points at the end of the 12 days of competition becomes the 2019 World Champion Nation and Pilot respectively.

I am a NZ Hang Gliding Team Member. I have set up this Give A Little fundraiser on behalf of the team. All funds raised will be evenly shared amongst the team.
Use of funds
Funds will be used to pay for the following individual expenses:
$2500 - Plane Fares
$1500 - Glider Freight/Hire
$1740 - Vehicle
$2160 - Food & Accom
$840 - Entry Fee
Any surplus funds will be used by the next NZ Team at the 2021 World Champs
