NZ Review of Books Pukapuka Aotearoa, 1991-2019: THE FINAL ISSUE

It is with enormous sorrow that the Board of Peppercorn Press and the Co-editors of New Zealand Review of Books Pukapuka Aotearoa must inform our contributors, subscribers, advertisers, friends & lovers, and other supporters that our Creative New Zealand funding has been discontinued. This means that we are unable to continue publishing and the Summer issue (issue 128, publishing December 2019) will be our last.

We are endeavouring to find a new home for our online archive, and for our teen review site, Hooked on NZ Books. This Givealittle page is intended to fundraise for our final expenses and for help with ongoing maintenance of online sites. We intend to accept donations through this page until 31 December 2019.

Thank you so much for your support. We are very proud of the work we did together and the contribution we have made to Aotearoa's literary landscape and culture for almost thirty years.

Peppercorn Press was established in 1991 for educational and charitable purposes. In particular it was formed to publish a quarterly journal with in-depth reviews and comment on Aotearoa New Zealand books, to stimulate interest in and appreciation of our literature and publishing, and to help raise the standard of book reviewing in our country.
