Fund our "Welfare Program" for kiwis who Served in Singapore-Malaysia 1974-1989 who cannot access assistance from Veterans Affairs NZ
Canterbury
New Zealand Military service people who served New Zealand in Singapore/Malaysia from 1 April 1974 until Dec 1989 are denied assistance for any injuries, illnesses or accidents from Veterans Affairs New Zealand because of a quirk in the law.
Military Service is tough and both physically and Mentally challenging on the body and soul.
The introduction of ACC on 1 April 1974 has created a vacuum for these service people through either no records or very poor record keeping of any illness or injury sustained. These real kiwis are getting older and are having many medical problems caused by their service, and need help and assistance with a myriad of tasks they can no longer complete.
What are we trying to achieve;
1. We have always tried to look after our own, but now the welfare needs are bigger than what we can sustain and we need your help as we cannot get it from Veterans Affairs or the Government. We are trying to raise funds to carry on our welfare work and assist these kiwi's to live a better life and stay in their own communities.
We represent thousands of ex service people who served in either the NZ Navy, Army or Air Force in Singapore and Malaysia during this period.
Will you chip in $20, $50, $100 or other amount?
Please give generously, contributions however big or small will be greatly Appreciated.
