The NZ Ukulele Trust music programmes help children to experience the joy of music and help schools to deliver accessible music education.

NZ Ukulele Trust is committed to enriching children's lives with music. We do this by providing ukuleles to schools, running workshops and rehearsals and organising performance opportunities. We produce teaching materials each year for over 120 schools registering for our massed ukulele orchestra of over 2,000 students, the Kiwileles. Our Songbook has a range of graded and appropriate songs and instrumental works for children, including predominantly NZ music, waiata and Pasifika songs. For more experienced ukulele players we offer the NZ Ukulele Squads as an opportunity for older students to develop ensemble skills. We organize competitions to showcase ukulele songwriting, virtuoso musicians and artists. Our main event is the annual NZ Ukulele Festival, a free community event. The big attraction is the performance by our huge massed ukulele orchestra-the fabulous Kiwileles.
The New Zealand Ukulele Trust supports schools, teachers, and communities to introduce Kiwi kids to music through the magic of the ukulele.
