NZ WOMEN'S HANDBALL TEAM - ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN JAPAN

The NZ Women's Handball team needs funds to compete in the Asian Women's Championships in Japan. Please help!

The NZ Women's team has been invited for the first time ever to play in the Asian Women's Championships in Japan in December this year.

Handball is a small but growing sport in NZ. In the rest of the world it is played by over 800,000 people and is also an Olympic sport.

Because in NZ we are minority sport, we do not have any funding and everything the team does has to be self-funded by the players - monthly training camps, uniforms, travel, food and accommodation in Japan. This is the biggest world stage these girls will ever play on and it will cost them approx $7,000 each to have their sporting dreams come true - representing their country on the international stage! The experience these dedicated women will gain will be a huge step in a long road to developing the sport in NZ.
